Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on the 21st of September, 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actress. She is famous for playing Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well in ABC's Lost TV show. After her parents' divorce, she left Worthington Ohio in order to settle with her family in Los Angeles. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first acting gig as Rachel's Room's main character the online video show Rachel's Room in 2001. Following her win of an Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal of Murder on the streets of Greenwich of a 15-year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace went on to be awarded. Grace Rutherford was the lead actor in Lost during its initial two seasons. In 2004, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award with the entire ensemble. Grace decided to concentrate on film after starring opposite Tom Welling's character on The Fog, in 2005. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken in 2008) as Suburban Girl and the Jane Austen Book Club. She reprised her role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played Shannon's part as Shannon in Lost for two episodes, which included the final episode of the series. In 2013, she was a guest in the sixth series of Californication. The actress plays Faith a groupie and a muse to the stars that catches the attention of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. Part of the Gyllenhaal family, she is the child of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and is the younger sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was a teenager as she was cast in minor parts in a few films directed from her father. Also, she worked alongside her brother in the 2001 popular movie Donnie Darko. She then appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal received nominations for a Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) and the love story Secretary (2002). The two films received acclaim from critics. Her fame grew after playing Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008), thanks to several successful commercial films that she was a part of the year 2006. After her successful performance as a mother who is not married on the screen in Crazy Heart (2009), she received the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Then she played in comedies and dramas which included Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012 The other roles she played were a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) and a musician in Frank (2014) and the title role in the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal began her professional career as a screenwriter, director and writer in the year 2021, when she directed and wrote The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama. The Lost Daughter.
