Anna Kendrick was already a Tony-nominated child actress when she signed up to appear in the "Twilight" franchise. Her mother worked as an accountant while her father was a history teacher. Anna was raised with her older brother Michael, an actor who later on became an actor. As a teen, Anna Kendrick attended Deering High School in Portland.Anna Kendrick was already auditioning for major Broadway productions prior to entering high school. In the year 12 she booked her first big theater role when she joined the cast of High Society in 1998. Although she was a toddler her performance was sufficient to garner her various awards and nominations. In 2003, she was in the musical A Little Night Music. In 2003 she made her debut in film in the film Camp at age 15 years old. For this performance and her later appearance in 2007's Rocket Science, Kendrick won additional nods and awards.
