Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to classic, old boleros, and traditional ranchero, romantic and romance ballads. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera and every form of dramatic performances. She was taught by her mother to sing, however she started an intensive training in vocals through Flavio Belcerra in the age of 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and then with the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was a member of many opera chamber and choruses. When she moved to the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her location in the southern part of California. She currently performs the traditional Latin American songs at private performances as a soloist. As a teacher and musician, she is committed to numerous community projects thanks to her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a pleasure to have being able to share her passion and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire to, particularly in the younger age group for keeping this tradition of music lively and alive.Viva Mexico!
